She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Milton Albin and Flora Pearl Albin (Moore); her husband John Doak "J. D." Howerton; and her siblings, Robert Francis Albin, Billy Hugh Albin and Mary Sue Rowen.
She is survived by: her sons, John Philip Howerton (Jan) and James Mason Howerton (Debbie); her grandchildren, Nick Howerton, Colonel Paul Howerton (Emily), Clinton, Jill Wood, Jennifer Morris (Colonel Aaron Morris), Strangvanger, Mike Howerton (Heidi), Jon Howerton (Stacey) and Andrew Howerton (Melissa); her brother John Albin (Margie); and her sister-in-law Carolyn Albin. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Carrsville Cemetery. Donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
