He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Ray Harrelson and Ella Marie Harrelson (Halsey); his son Joe Drake; his son-in-law Thomas F. Williams; and his great grandchild Branch Perry.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Harrelson; his daughters, Roseale Williams (Dicky) and Angela Metz (Terry); his grandchildren, Thomas Williams (Vanessa), Kandis Williams (Dustin) and Casey Metz; and his great grandchildren, Lylian, Pyper and Taytum.
