It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Cates of Clinton, Missouri, born in Abilene, Kansas, who passed away on September 27, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Burton and Norma Jean Cates (Burton); her sister Lavonne Franks; her daughter Theresa Baxter; and her nephew Curtis Dimmick.
She is survived by: her husband Harry Cates Sr.; her siblings, Dwayne Burton (Nancy) of Pheonix Arizona and Juanita Dimmick (Charles); her children, Steve Hurley, Harry Cates Jr. (Tommie) of Clinton Missouri, Deenanna Cates of Gainesville Missouri and Sabrina Williams; her grandchildren, Dommic Hurley, Blake Hurley (Cadence), Kelsa Jones, Amber Cates, Brandon Cates and Brandy Redburn; and her great grandchildren, Madden, Maverick Hurley, LaMaya Jones, Blaze, Bruno Redburn, Elizabeth, Renea and Gabriel Schalk.
