With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Rae Cates of Clinton, Missouri, born in Los Angeles, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 10, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Roy and Edna McCombs of Montana; her husband Bill Cates; her aunt Laura Marie Linthicum; her uncle Vernon Anderson; and her grandfather Hans Peter.
She is survived by: her son John Cates (Tessa); her stepsons, Travis Cates (Donna) and Jaime (Cindy Cates); her grandchildren, Austin, Christian, Hunter, Jesse, Tacey, Jack and Jovi Cates; her nephew Brian Ramage; and her cousins, Debra Anderson Ybarra, Dean Linthicum, Chris Anderson, Judi Rodgers and June Ottman. She is also survived by her family and friends.
