He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shelton, Sr. and Thetus 'McCraw' Shelton; and his spouse Beverly Ezell. He is survived by: his children, Lilyana Bethanee Marino (Nohlan), Carolyn Gleason (Ed Nichols) and James Shelton (Tina); his grandchildren, Tawnya Hawkins, Jason Willis (Katie), Nathan Willis, Patrick Shelton (Cherise), Ryan Shelton, Sean Shelton (Lisa) and Dylan Gleason (Madison Kremer); his great grandchildren, William, Kobe Hawkins, Alicia, Aiden, Athena Willis and Wyatt Shelton; and his siblings, Aaron Shelton, Thomas Boyd Shelton and Herma Gray Hopkins.
