She was predeceased by: her parents, Chesley Taylor Gates and Mary Ellen Gates (Jageman); her former husband Ernest Larkin Harvey, Jr.; and her sister Mary Ann Long (Gates). She is survived by: her husband Ernie; her daughter Amy Lynn Scranton (J. R.); her pet Max; her siblings, Sally Dorrell (John) and Joe Gates; and her sister-in-law Jo Ann Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Masks are requested and social distancing will be observed.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Clinton United Methodist Church or the Henry County Museum, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
