He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Porter and Nadine Porter; and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Porter of Clinton; his daughters, Heather Tackett and Amanda Himes (Dustin); his grandchildren, Drew Tackett, Haskell Himes, Caroline Himes and Margaret Himes; and his siblings, Shirl McMullen, Kris Swope and Doug Porter (Karen).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home (314 W Jefferson St, Clinton, MO 64735). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to the GVMH Hospice or the Truman Lake Youth Baseball Association and may be left in care of the funeral home.
