He was predeceased by: his parents, John Portwood and Katherine Portwood (McKissick); his wife Arlene Portwood of Deepwater; his siblings, Harold Portwood, John D. Portwood, Jim Portwood, Virginia and Mary; his son-in-law Gary Orfield; and his granddaughter Erin Katie Minks.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Orfield of Clinton, MO., David Minks (Rebecca) of Warsaw, MO., Stacy Minks (Pamelia) of Rich Hill, MO., Sam Portwood (Andrea) of Niles, MI. and Chuck Portwood of Niles, MI.; his grandchildren, Christine Schmidt (Cory) of Webb City, MO., Amy Setzer (Dennis) of Lake Tapawingo, MO., Micheal Hicks of Lexington, KY., Machelle Minks of Rayville, MO., John Charles, Aleah Minks of Warsaw, MO., Kayleigh Mayo (Matt) of Appleton City, MO., Brennan Minks (Christie) of Warrensburg, MO., Conner Minks of Clinton, MO., Brooke Portwood of Niles, MI. and Britney Portwood of Niles, MI.; and his sister Sharon Duggan of Deepwater, MO.. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Family requested memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Charles O. Portwood. Donations may be left in the care of Consalus Funeral Home.
