With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Bernard J. Opoka of Clinton, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Bernard J. left this world on February 26, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard J. Opoka and Glenna Opoka (Otto) of Mary's High School; his wife Patricia "Patty" (Hennrich); and his daughter Tracy Lynn Opoka. He is survived by: his children, Amy Hale (Jon), Brian Opoka (Pam), Scott Opoka and Penny Bronson (Jeff); and his siblings, Ann Thomas (Michael) and Lloyd Opoka. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. John LaLande Catholic Church (801 NW R D Mize Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64015). Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at the Woodlawn Cemetery (701 S Noland Rd, Independence, MO 64050).
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
