Appell and Ruby Caldwell Appell; his wife Joicie Rule Appell; his brother Kenneth Appell (Jeane); his daughters, Pam High (Roger) of Lee's Summit, Cheryl Appell (Ralph Stewart) of Boulder, Tricia Marques (Patrice) of Charneca, Cascais and Portugal; his grandchildren, Jason Lee High, Elisabeth Stewart Hill (Matt), Allison Stewart and Meredith Stewart; and his great grandchildren, Emerson Ann Hill and Eleanor Joy Hill.
