With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Violet Jean McElhany of Clever, Missouri, born in Springfield, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 6, 2024 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Bud and Rosa Lee DeMaranville (Stevens); her husband Larry David McElhany; her daughter Kristie Ann McElhany Rattles; her grandson Jonathon Pope; her great grandchild Chloe Baker; and her siblings, Donna Friend, Delilah Alberta, Buddy DeMaranville and Steven DeMaranville.
She is survived by: her pet Sue; her children, William Baker, Anita Lowther (Dennis Lowther), Wendy Bali, Kerry Pope (Rob Miller) and David McElhany (Rose McElhany); and her grandchildren, Lindsey Cutbirth, Cassie Baker, Wesley Baker, Amanda Lowther, Levi Lowther, Allison Rattles, Abigail Rattles, Emily Cameron, Joshua Pope, Megan Queisert, Madison Pope, Eliana McElhany and Liam McElhany.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Meadors Funeral Home (304 Drive St, Clever, MO 65631). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
