He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Farrell and Melba Farrell; his former wife Linda Farrell (Brooks); and his brother Timothy Farrell. He is survived by: his wife Dee Dee (West); his brothers, Jim Farrell and John Farrell; his daughters, Theresa Shmidl (Tim), Gina Gilroy (Mark) and Jenny Kleinmann (Bill); and his grandchildren, Maddy Knuth (Kyle), Morgan Shmidl, Lindsey Gilroy, Austin Gilroy, Andrew Gilroy, Lindy Kleinmann and Joseph Kleinmann.
