She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Thomas and Grace Pauline Gibb (Pulliam); her daughter Julia Grissom; her great grandchild Carter McKechan; and her siblings, Max, Danny Gibb and RoseAnna Scarborough.
She is survived by: her close friend Dee Hewitt; her children, Rick Matter (Carmen) and Lorraine Lackey (David); her stepson Chad Hewitt (Traci Fuller); and her grandchildren, Jason, Paul, Melanie, Crystal, April, Carrie, Ricky, Josh, Max, Nicholas, Brielee and Bradley. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and two on the way; other relatives and friends.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
