He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Clyde and Opal Eugenia Stahl (Homan); and his siblings-in-law, Charlene Newkirk, Marjorie Mortenson, Richard Mortenson and Roy Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Jean (Newkirk); his children, Debbie Caton (Jim) of Clarksburg, Lisa Ecton (Don) of Russellville and Brian Stahl of California; his grandchildren, Ashley Plummer (Brandon), Billy Caton (Claire), Leanna Brown, Bobby Caton (Avery), Kayla Calef (Carter), Karin Ratcliff, Kyle Blankenship (Rheanna), Kenton Blankenship (Jordan), Jeremy Stahl (Kasey) and Caleb Stahl; his stepgrandsons, Eric Ecton and Joshua Ecton (Morgan); his sisters, Ellen Hopkins of Smithton and Mary Pace (Jim) of Clarksburg; and his brother-in-law Jerry Newkirk of Bunceton. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Tipton Community Baptist Church or Gideons International.
