It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Dewayene Berry of Chula, Missouri, born in Trenton, Missouri, who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl McClurge Berry and Doris Beatrice Berry (Hancock); and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Berry, Dale Berry, Ronald Berry, Gerald Berry (Betty), Betty, Mildred Shepard (Don) and Joyce Axtell.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Berry; his children, Meletta Hines (Lee) of Trenton, MO., Meleah Lawrence (Rodney) of Trenton, MO., Michael John Hughes (Kimmy) of Alton, MO. and Melissa (Michael); his grandchildren, Casey Noble (Dustin), Earl Ireland (Brandy), Pickle Lawrence, Dewayene Yount, Jordan Hughes, Aaliyah Hughes, Kaylynn Yount, Gabriel Yount, Amy Lawrence, Tyler Hines, Amber Lawrence and Ryan Hines (Mckenzee); his siblings, Oscar Berry of Trenton, MO. and Nadine Gardner of Tenn; and his sister-in-law Linda Berry.
