He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Ross and Lola Ross (Colter); his former wife Ruth Haney; his son Butch Ross; his grandson Chris Dana; and his brothers-in-law, Dean Brown, Tommy Jones and Larry Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Ross; his daughters, Janice Norris (Dale) of Columbia, Sandy Dana of Springfield, Tammy Hutchins (Thomas) of Clarksville and Jill Stedem (Marty) of Columbia, Missouri; his stepchildren, Nick Palermo (Mary) of Piper, Kansas, Tricia Wohletz (Dave) of Kearney and Terri McGuire of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and his sisters, June Brown of Chillicothe, JoAnn Williams of Chillicothe and Gracie Jones of Dawn, Missouri.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
