She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Locke, Sr. and Viola Locke (LeClare); her husband Carl Asmus "Pete" Benning; her great grandchild Dominique Meador; and her siblings, Rosella Smith, Zelpha Wood, Homer, Jr., Alfred, Charles and Robert Locke.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Benning (Cherryl) of Slater, Iowa and Karla Kinzle (Jerald) of Chillicothe, Missouri; and her granddaughters, Michelle Kinzle of Lincoln, Jennifer Novak of Wahoo, Jessica Lusk of Newton, Cassandra Laas of Cedar Rapids and Amanda Peterson of Stratford, Iowa. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
