He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Cornell and Dorothy Cornell (West); his wife Wilma Cornell; his brother Dennis Cornell; his son-in-law Rod Norris; and his former wife Gladys Cornell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Norris of Platte City and Mari Rydings (Mark) of Platte Woods, Missouri; his stepdaughters, Sherry Parks (Bernie) of Chillicothe and Terisa Guenther (Steve) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and his sisters, Karen Wilsonof (Kenny), Linda Beaver of Galena and Diane Brown (Jerry) of Carthage, Missouri. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
