He was predeceased by: his parents, William Claudie and Roberta Maxine Ishmael (Searcy); his stepmother Eilene Ishmael (Bowe); his brother C. Eugene Gene Ishmael; and his granddaughter Megan Marie Ishmael.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jordan; his children, Chris Ishmael (Brenda) of Chillicothe, Missouri and Michelle Ishmael of Chillicothe, Missouri; his grandchildren, Arianna Rodriguez of Chillicothe, Missouri and Preston Lee Ishmael of Chillicothe, Missouri; and his sisters, Maxine Lisle of Trenton, Deb Shafer of Chillicothe and Diane Epperson of Cameron, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
