He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Jean and Doris Mae Canaan (Travis); his son Travis; and his siblings, Mary Canaan and Richard Canaan.
He is survived by: his wife Jewell Canaan; his stepson Scott Riddle; his siblings, Roger Canaan (Alice) of Linn Valley, Ron Canaan (Deb) of Paola, Billie Kaye Damet (Mark) of Edgerton, Marvin Canaan of Lansing and Peggy Canaan of Kansas City, Missouri; his sister-in-law Gayle Canaan of Kansas City, Missouri; and his former wife Leila Canaan.
