She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorsey Thompson and Ruth Thompson (Wilson); her husband Dr. James Harkness; and her sister Dorsie Dowd. She is survived by: her sons, James A. Harkness (Hanan) of Houston and Michael W. Harkness of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, J. T. Harkness and Matthew Harkness; and her sister Janet Rigdon (Larry) of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
