He was predeceased by: his parents, Enoch R. Ireland and Lillian Gertrude Mace Ireland; his wife Ola Alma Juanita Merryfield; his son Otis Ireland Jr.; and his siblings, Oscar, Jack, Marvin "Tom", Carl Ireland, Elsie Marcel and Ethel Jean Forte.
He is survived by: his daughter Alta Sharon Scholl; his daughter-in-law Linda Ireland of Utica, MO; his grandsons, Brent Scholl (Jodi) of Liberty, MO, Bryce Scholl of New Orleans, Louisana and Dwain Ireland (Amy) of Chillicothe; his great grandchildren, Sydney Scholl, Dane Ireland and Abigail Ireland; and his sister Donna Kay Hatfield (Robert). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
