He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrin Keith Torrey and Leotta Mae Wilson Torrey; his siblings, Keith Torrey, Christina Marquis and Theresa Torrey; and his stepsons, William C. Eyler and Garrett L. Eyler.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Whitaker Eyler; his daughters, Stephanie McBee (Brad) of Bucyrus, Kansas and Kimberly Hilbrenner of Carrollton, Missouri; his stepdaughters, Cheryl Gore (Terry) of Florida and Linda Gall (James) of Liberty, Missouri; and his siblings, Sam Torrey (Louise) of Iowa, Fred Torrey (Edna) of Texas, Ricky Torrey (Teri) of Humphreys, Missouri and Darlene Routon of Alabama. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
