He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elva and Eunice McNally Silkwood; his wife Mary Louise Peer; his son Gary; and his siblings, Elva Silkwood, Ralph Silkwood, Hazel McElwee, Cloie Mills and Ethel Reed.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark E. Silkwood (Marilyn) of Trenton, Michael Silkwood of Higginsville and Matt Silkwood of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Sean Silkwood, Sarah Martinek, Levi Silkwood, Justin Silkwood, Nathan Silkwood, Devan Pittman, Ana Quiroz, Lori Kelly, A. J. Kelly and Matthew Silkwood; his great grandchildren, Lara Martinek, Addison Fagan, Jackson Fagan, Harper Silkwood, Harlow Silkwood, Alana Silkwood, Ryker Mullens and Aviana Quiroz; and his sisters, Sue Moore of Dawn and Fern Hall of Braymer.
