She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Lois and Mildred Leota Ishmael (Snyder); her husband James E. Duckworth; her son-in-law Merle Hess; and her grandson Ethan Cole Hess.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Duckworth (Joan) of Lee's Summit, Kenneth Duckworth (Vicky) of Chula, Missouri, Deborah Sue Hess of Southern Pines and Linda Kay Peterson (Jim) of Columbia, Missouri; and her siblings, Lowell Ishmael (Rosie) of Kansas City, Rex Ishmael (Pat) of Charleston, Wendell Ishmael (Marilyn) of Kansas City, Kansas and Joyce Stimpson of Laredo, Missouri. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
