She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph C. Gillespie and Alma Juanita Gillespie (Mackley); her daughter Andrea Denton; her husband Bernie Denton; and her siblings, Pearl June "Peggy" Koch and Joseph C. Gillespie II.

She is survived by: her children, Doug Denton (Monica) of Chillicothe, Missouri and Jolita Ward (Randy) of Chula, Missouri; her grandchildren, Brady Ward, Drew Ward, Cody Denton, Penny Denton, Spencer Ward, Brad Sackrey, Tessa Sackrey-Coffman and Cody Sackrey; and her great grandchildren, Raelee Ward, Keeley Ward, Reece Denton, Joel Denton, Ike Denton, Ryker Powell, Emmy Ward and Hank Ward.
