He is survived by: his former wife Kathryn Shaffer; his wife Kate Cumby; his daughters, Heather Mitchell (Alex) and Joanna Grant; his grandchildren, Jessica Grant, Jake, Emily, Jaxson and Anna Mitchell; his brother Eric Cumby (Kathleen Scott); and his siblings-in-law, Steve Shaffer (Nancy), Connie Shaffer, Jane Emanuelli (Peter) and Jan Shaffer (Nelson Abreu). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
