He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hamilton Lucas Sr. and Ila Lucille Lucas (Sammons); and his siblings, Charlene DeVaul, Ruby Hall, Mary Clark, Mary Francis Lucas, Ralph Lucas Jr., Pete Lucas and Todd Lucas.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Lucas of Chillicothe; his sons, Jerry Lee Lucas Jr. of Chillicothe and Todd Hamilton Lucas (Tricia) of Omaha, Nebraska; and his grandchildren, Tyler and Cassie Lucas.
