She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Irving R. Vokac and Mildred Vokac (Lundin); her friend Sandy Brown; her husband Fred K. Simmer; her children, Mark Simmer of Chillicothe and Jill Grasmick (Eric) of Chesterfield, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Jensen, Hayden Simmer, Savannah, Gavin and Cheyenne Grasmick; her stepgrandchild Paige Mulligan (Will); her sister Pat Kwarta (Dave); and her nieces and nephews, Deborah Kwarta and Kim (Rick Zawodniak).

If volunteers were needed to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis or other charities, she was willing to walk door-to-door throughout her neighborhood to help.
