He was predeceased by: his father LeRoy Hunter; his former wife Carol Hunter; his sons, Gregory Allen Hunter and Dakota James Ray Hunter; his grandchildren, Nathan Hunter and Natalia Lynn Hunter; and his brother Harry Mcnown.
He is survived by: his mother Marjorie McNown (Bayte) of Mendon, Missouri; his fiancée Luella Newberry; his children, Monja Hunter of Ohio, Heather Harris (Jason) of Brookfield, Missouri and Joshua Hunter (Alissa) of Ohio; his stepdaughter Jessica Lipschutz of Ohio; and his siblings, Bonnie Fainter of Mendon, Nancy Hunter Stiltz, Marquita Ellen Hunter Still, Rebecca Hunter Deihl, Pamela McNown Woody, Virginia Hunter Bassett and Billy Dean Hunter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
