He is survived by: his wife Lorena Huff; his children, Rodney Avery of Olympia, Andrew Avery of Lexington, Tennessee, Robin White of Joy, Illinois and Amy Zippe of West Burlington, Iowa; his stepsons, James McKinney (Teena) of Biggsville, Rex McKinney of Oquawka and Stephan Nylin (Maria) of Chillicothe, Missouri; and his siblings, Jesse Avery (Marsh) of Kirkwood, Gary Avery of Monmouth, Thomas Avery of Galesburg, Illinois and Dorothy Lipes of Monmouth, Illinois. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren.
