She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Boyd and Bessie Bell Hunter (Walker); her husband Doyle Bethards; and her daughter-in-law Diane Bethards. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church or the Haseville Cemetery.
