She was predeceased by: her parents, James Vernon "Vern" and Myrtle Lucile Lisenby (Mitchell); her spouse Francis Guy "Spud" Bowes; her sisters, Donna Taylor and Shirley Ann Watson; and her grandson Nick Spainhour.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Lynn Gwin (Clark) of Chillicothe, Missouri, Ronald Dale Bowes (Rachel) of Chillicothe and Sidney Lee Bowes of Chillicothe, Missouri; and her brother Gerald Lisenby of Gravois Mills. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
