He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Junior and Addelina Pearl Evans (Bunch); and his sister Paula Smith of Osborne, Missouri.. He is survived by: his children, Traci Gercone (Bob) of Independence, Missouri and Charles Matthew Evans (Matt) of Kidder, Missouri; and his siblings, Joe Evans (Brenda) of Lathrop, Missouri, Machele Vance of Edmond and Joyce Smith (Red) of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
