She was predeceased by: her parents, James Helm and Betty Helm (Miller). She is survived by: her husband Lowell Laffey; her children, Mark Laffey (Jennifer) of Kirksville, Missouri, Jennie Cox (Jeff) of Bonner Springs and Jessica VanDusen of Chillicothe, Missouri; her stepmother Shirley Helm of Stigler, Oklahoma; and her siblings, Ronnie Helm (Carol) of Olathe, David Helm (Gloria) of Stigler, Rick Helm (Paula) of Marceline, Larry Helm of Stigler, Oklahoma, Susan Harrell of Kirksville and Linda Dickinson (Bill) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
