Alta Jane King Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2024, at the age of 102, Alta Jane King of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alta Jane King to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gifford Applebury and Edna Applebury (Daugherty); her husband Hurless King; her brothers, Alvis Applebury and Henry Applebury; and her son-in-law Jack Martin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Martin and Mary Totten (Paul) of Bloomfield, Iowa; her granddaughters, Jessica Totten of Centralia and Amanda Schumaker of Clark, Missouri; her great grandchildren, Madison and Riley Schumaker of Clark, Missouri; and her sister Jean Plummer (Tommie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church - Chillicothe (1601 Bryan St, Chillicothe, MO 64601).
