It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee Wayne Pope of Chilhowee, Missouri, born in Lockney, Texas, who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Pope and Margie Pope (Smith); his son Troy Wayne Pope; and his sister Joyce Bartholomew. He is survived by: his wife Deloris Darlene Miller; his children, Tracy Smith (Terry) of Sturgeon, MO, Todd Pope (Michelle) of Waukesha, WI, Janet Bohannan (Eddie) of Chilhowee, MO and Randy Shields of Aurora, MO; his sister Elva Dee Duncan-Hulett (William) of Garland, TX; and his grandchildren, Tara Dettmer (Ryan) of Centerview, MO, Tiffany Kuntemeier (Drew) of St. Peters, MO, Derek Thornley (Taryn) of Chilhowee, MO, Curtis Shields (Kaitlyn) of Louisville, KY, Blake Shields (Cassie) of Adrian, MO, Troy Rush (Gabby) of Savannah, GA, Corey Smith (Jami) of Mexico, MO, Casey Lecco (Bobby) of Sturgeon, MO, Nick Smith (Ashleena) of Fulton, MO, Kelsey Roop (Rocky) of Sturgeon, MO, Holly Maddox (Clint) of Columbia, MO, Carson Pope (Bayli) of Wisconsin and Bryson Pope of Waukesha, WI. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
