He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanora Schwahn Franzen (Elly); his parents, Lawrence Franzen and Mae Franzen; his siblings, Lona Bauer, Margaret Hanish, Dorothy Schiro, Kaye Gruszecki and Donald; and his siblings-in-law, Stanley Hanish, Anthony Schiro, William Gruszecki and MaryJane Franzen.
He is survived by: his children, Paula (Brad Sterner), William Jr. (Bill), Gregory (Greg) and Laura; and his grandchildren, Hanna, Christopher, Maggie, Lillie Franzen, Max, George, Albert and Sarah Sterner. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
