He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry R. Burnside and Frieda Barbara Brown Burnside; his wife Barbara E. Meyer of Chesterfield; his children, Anna Pounds (Ron) and Mark Burnside; his grandchildren, Lillie (Josh Minett) of Walla Walla, Laura Burnside of Walla Walla and Michael Jones; and his siblings, Virginia, Delbertha and Ted.
A memorial fund is being established for Tom's church St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, Missouri.
