She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert W. Sledge and Nannie Vester Sledge; and her grandmothers, Sally and Lannie. She is survived by: her siblings, John Sledge (Ludell), George Sledge (Dot), Joyce Griffin (William), Mary Oriez (Richard) and Lois Brown (William); her husband Robert Phil (Upchurch); and her children, Nelda Schuler (Kenneth), Debra Heck (Robert) and Barry Upchurch (Diane). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: and 11 great grandchildren.
