He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell J. and Mary J. Sainz; and his brother James Sainz. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Sainz; his daughters, Leah M. Sainz and Erin P. Keys (Walt); his granddaughters, Margot and June Keys; and his siblings, Claudia Andrews (late Bill), Robert Sainz (Margaret), Beverley Ploch (Barne) and Mary Beth Imperiale (late Sam).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63005). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Alban Roe Catholic Church (2001 Shepard Rd, Glencoe, MO 63038).
