He was predeceased by: his father Roy B. Thompson; his siblings, Miriam and Johnny; and his sons, Roy B. "Tommy" Thompson and Steven Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Addie Thompson; his daughters, Gina Seal (Daniel), Lori Fugate (Todd) and Wendy Maltempie (Philip); his grandchildren, Juliet Seal, Summer Fugate, Adam Maltempie (Bethany) and Elizabeth Lambert (Sam); and his great grandchildren, Gabriel and Tollison Maltempie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory (14960 Manchester Rd, Ballwin, MO 63011). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ascension Catholic Church (230 Santa Maria Dr, Chesterfield, MO 63005). A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Bellerive Gardens Chapel (740 N Mason Rd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141).
