He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Justus; his children, Harold, Charlie and Lloyd; his sisters, Alma and Jennie; his wife Ruth Marie Mehler; his son Larry Sontag (Angela); his grandchildren, Cherie Messina (Tim), Carisa Pursell (John) and Corryne Sontag; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Krechel, Mark Krechel and Andrea Mahoney (Adam); his great grandchildren, Catherine, Andrew, Abigail Messina, Benjamin and Mackenzie Pursell; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kylie, Colton, Samuel Krechel and Maggie Mahoney; and also Jennie.
The Pandemic is the only reason he stopped attending.
