He was predeceased by: his brother Joseph Meier; and his father Lefty. He is survived by: his wife Carol L. McCain; his children, Kathleen Meier-Ludwig (Steve) of Breese, William Meier (Debbie) of St. Louis, MO, Amy Hansfield (David) of Wheaton and David Meier (Alina) of O'Fallon; and his grandchildren, Alex, Gabrielle, Zachary Ludwig, Liam, Abby, Emmy Meier, Jacob, Noah, Olivia, Levi Hansfield, Hannah, Ashton and Elliot Meier.
Memorials made in memory of Paul are suggested to St. Augustine Parish or to the charity of the donor's choice and will be received at church or at Nordike Funeral Home, 150 N. Clinton St., Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
