He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wendell and Jane Wendell; and his son James Wendell. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Kent Patrice Miller (Brian) and Michael B. Wendell (Julie); his grandchildren, Courtney Kent, Cary Michael Voss, Angela Schmitt (Michael), Andrea Sanders (Kyle), Michael Miller, Casey Gravlin (Ken), Lexie Robertson (Keith) and Katie Wendell; and his great grandchildren, Shea Kent, Beaux Kent, Emmy Glover, Cerena Marciniak (Ethan), Michael Schmitt, Angeline Schmitt, Pilgrim and Big Cedar.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested all donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
