She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Asbury and Earl Asbury; her husband Gerald Fochtmann, Sr.; her brothers, Earl Asbury (Sara "Sally") and James "Jim" Asbury; and her stepsisters, Virginia Deming (Frank) and Ruth Bann (Robert).
She is survived by: her children, Laura Fochtmann, Gerald "Jerry" Fochtmann, Jr. (Cindy), Virginia "Ginny" (Steve), P. E. and Jane Pierce; her grandchildren, Hillel Schechter of Shula Schechter, M. D., Caitlin Lozano (Danny), Kevin Harvey (Kristen), Connor Harvey (Meagan), Elizabeth Fochtmann (Max Loduca), Anna Griffen (Nathaniel), Kristen Bretzke (Austin Bench), Sarah Bretzke (Ethan Davis), Alex Pierce and Garrett Pierce (Rachel Wilhoit); and her great grandchildren, Cooper Craddick, Lane Harvey, Josie Harvey, Archer Bench, Iris Bench and Roscoe Griffen. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Church (9801 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Paul's Evangelical Free Church, Cottey College, or the Alzheimer's Association in Mary Lou's memory.
