She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Tom Gerard; her children, Dina Farrar-Specker (Joe) and Marc Gerard (Courtney); her stepson Tommy Gerard (Shannon); her grandchildren, Tomas, Josie, Andrew, Isabella, Mia, Ethan, Jake, Ava and Gabriella; her brothers, Wilson Mateus (Patricia) and German Mateus (Clara); her parents, Efrain Mateus and Sara Mateus; her uncle Maurice; and her aunt Natcha Pereira. She was also cherished by her family, Maria was not just a mother and grandmother.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63005). A Mass was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Infant Church (627 Dennison Dr, Ballwin, MO 63021).
