He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Potts and Louisa Potts; his wife Virginia "Ginny" Potts; and his sisters, Juanita and Patsy.
He is survived by: his son Lawrence "Larry" Potts (Joanna); his grandson Joseph B. Potts (Jennifer); and his great grandchildren, Madison M. Potts and Tyler H. Potts.
