He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Nufer and Flora Nufer; his wife Judy Nufer; his daughter Anita Nufer; and his siblings, Irmgard Nufer and Herbert Nufer.

He is survived by: his children, Lore Wenz (Robert), Kurt Nufer (Jill) and Ann Cotter (Mark); his grandchildren, Christopher Burke, Brittany Hankins (Nick), Madison Nufer, Nicholas Nufer, Christian Cotter, Colin Cotter and Julianna Cotter; and his great grandchild Natasha Hankins. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
