He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Franklyn and Clara Franklyn; his wife Helen June Franklyn; his son Dave Franklyn; and his brothers, Harry, Raymond and Leonard Franklyn.

He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Maureen Franklyn; his grandchildren, Keri Detwiler (Ross) and Daniel Franklyn; and his great grandchildren, Victoria and Alexandra Detwiler. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
